Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are digital assets that are uniquely, indivisibly and non-interchangeably identifiable. These are tokens that can represent assets, ownership, shares or any other type of digital property. ETH in Mellieha is a NFT, with an underlying asset that brings the ancient village of Mellieha into the world of NFTs. It consists of a number of immaterial tokens (called "mellies") that are assigned to real physical locations in the village, including the Church of St. George, St. James' Church, the Mellieha Museum, the Mellieha Nature Park, and the Mellieha Water Supply. It is an asset that is unique for every individual, where the value of your token is directly proportional to the value of the physical location it represents.
